1 year and 156 blog posts later…
I am so proud to be celebrating my 1 year anniversary of starting my blog!
As some of you already know, I had a blog in high school that I loved and adored. When I got to college, I didn’t have the time or the confidence to keep it up. In the back of my head, I always knew that someday, I wanted to start again.
This time last year, we were in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. I had just graduated from Ole Miss, was about to turn 21, and I was trying to plan my wedding for July 31st. It was a super stressful time for me (and so many others) and I needed a major distraction and something productive to do in my life.
My amazing husband and tech wizard, was the one who offered to make me a website and help me start blogging again. From the beginning, he was the one that knew I could do this and wanted to help me be successful.
The first post I published was “How We Met”.
If you would have told me a year ago that I would be posting blogs 3x a week, sending out a weekly newsletter, posting to Instagram almost everyday, getting accepted to Amazon Associates & Liketoknow.it, growing my Pinterest audience to over 10k viewers a month, creating a podcast (Becoming a Blogger), creating reels & TikToks, & starting a YouTube channel, I would have said you. are. crazy.
I never thought that I would be doing what I am doing because I was too worried about what friends or family would say. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that they really don’t care. If anything, they are intrigued by it. The people who think I am crazy are what give me fuel to keep going and make this a successful business.
And after only a year, I can confidently say it has been successful.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along and supported me this year! I am so thankful for all of the friendships I’ve made through blogging and everything I have learned so far on this journey.
To many more!
Thanks for reading!
