10 Summer Beauty Essentials

This weeks Friday Finds consists of all my favorite summer products. These take me from a full day running errands to relaxing by the pool.

Mississippi is hot & sticky during the summertime. You walk outside and it seriously feels like you are melting. Sauna-like, but not in a good way. If your climate is similar, you need to own these items.

10 Summer Beauty Essentials

Mario Badescu Facial Spray / Hoola bronzer / Jergens face moisturizer / Straw hat / BB cream / Waterproof mascara / Elta MD sunscreen / Striped rash guard / Aquaphor / Cetaphil moisturizer

It is crucial, first and foremost, to have proper sun protection. I use this Cetaphil moisturizer every single day no matter the season and it is perfect for combination or oily skin (like mine).

Protecting your skin from the sun reduces the appearance of sun damage, discolorations and dark spots, sagging skin, and wrinkles. I started wearing sunscreen everyday my freshman year of high school — if you are not doing this already, DO IT! Your skin will thank me later.

I also use Aquaphor every day and every night. Without it, my lips get so dry and cracked and, worst of them all, sunburnt.

The second face sunscreen is this Jergens moisturizer. This product is great if you want a little color on your face as well as sunscreen protection. It has a natural looking self tanner color to it. Since I do wear sunscreen everyday, my face will be sometimes be paler than the rest of my body so I will rotate in this product to get a more even coloring.

The last sunscreen is this Elta MD spf 50 sunscreen. This is great for all over body coverage that doesn’t clog your pores and break you out! (my common issue with sunscreens).

For an easy everyday makeup look, I use a BB cream, bronzer, waterproof mascara, spritz a little facial spray and call it a day! Not only will the BB cream protect your skin, but it will even your skin tone and keep you looking glowy, not sweaty!

If you are seriously in need of sun protection, this rash guard is for you! I honestly just loved the striped pattern and think it would look totally J. Crew chic with this straw hat if you were lounging on the beach with a book in hand.
