With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I thought this could be a fun and fitting post!
It is no secret that quarantine has been hard on everyone. Especially relationships. Whether it’s a relationship with a friend, relationship with a family member, or relationship with your significant other, there are certain strains that have occurred because of COVID-19.
In the season of ~love~ here are some fun ideas to rekindle those relationships.
Date Night Specific:
1. Going out to dinner
Obviously. This is what most people do for Valentine’s Day or for any regular date night. Honestly, I can’t complain about it! It’s always fun tbh.
2. Romantic Movie Night
Make it a movie night!
- Pick out your favorite movie to watch together maybe
- make some snacks! Charcuterie, chocolate covered strawberries, popcorn, etc
- Make a pallet on the floor with cozy blankets and pillows
- Light some candles… You know, set the mood! Cultivate the vibes!
3. Romantic Spa Night
Treat yourselves to a little extra TLC!
Whip out the face masks, cucumbers, and lotions! Turn on some mood music and a diffuser and enjoy some peaceful time together.
This could be really fun and most guys actually enjoy it more than they let on…
4. Romantic Picnic
if you’re itching to get out of the house and get some fresh air, go on a sunset picnic!
Bring a blanket, bottle of wine, cheese board, or whatever you like and enjoy the sunset outside together!
5. Take a class for something new
I have been dying to do a cooking class with Grant. I think it would be so fun for a date night!
I don’t know about what is local to you, but Sur la Table offers cooking classes in person and online!
At the moment, I’m sure there are a million things you could learn just through the internet.
Ex. cooking class, origami, pottery making, painting, needlepointing, knitting, the list could go on and on!
6. Enjoy a Hike or a walk together
Grant and I love going on walks together. It’s a great was to decompress, get some exercise, and catch up with one another!
It is also proven that walking with your significant other helps communication and give you a sense of connectedness because you are both walking in the same direction. Article more about that here.
7. Take a drive
I love taking a drive. Whether with a location in mind or not!
Sometimes it’s to go get a Chikfila milkshake — my favorite!
8. Make Ice Cream Sundaes at home
Pick up all of your favorite toppings and ice cream flavors at the store and make the ultimate ice cream sundaes at home!
9. Take Personality tests
I LOVE personality tests. This would be so fun and might be super insightful!
10. Play a card game
This might sound lame… However, it can be really fun!
Grant and I have this Monopoly Deal card game and it is very entertaining!
I hope this gave you some new date night inspo! Let me know if you try any of these out 🙂
