How to Spice Up your New Year’s Eve At Home

how to celebrate NYE

After all the festivities and traveling around Thanksgiving and Christmas, when New Year’s rolls around, all I really want to do it go to bed. Anyone with me?

However, I always feel like I need to do something special to celebrate!

Little Things to Spice Up Your New Year’s Eve:

1. Call up a few friends that are in town and have dinner at home!

There’s nothing like a good, intimate, dinner party. Call up some friends and have some champagne & hors d’oeuvres!

Some activities to do:

2. Order dinner to-go

Especially right now, small businesses could use all the support they can get!

Not to mention– less work for the hostess! Just sit back, relax, and enjoy some takeout.

Although, New Year’s menus at restaurants (depending on where) can vary and/or not do takeout so be sure to do your research ahead of time to minimize stress.

3. Make fun cocktails

As I was perusing on Pinterest, I found a bunch of easy and delicious looking cocktail recipes!

My Favorites:

4. Make it spa night

I hope all of you have been treating yourself to a little extra self-care this year with everything going on.

If not, take the night to rest and rejuvenate for the year ahead.

Spa night could include:

  • Face Masks
  • Foot masks
  • Hand masks
  • Painting toes
  • Massage train
  • Popcorn & a movie, candles burning, reading a book, etc. while the masks marinate
  • Whatever calms you!

5. Watch a good movie

Earlier this holiday season, I curated a list of 25 of the best feel good movies to watch during the holidays!

This is one of my go-to cozy night at home vibes:

  • Good movie
  • candle burning
  • cozy blanket
  • popcorn
  • hot tea / hot chocolate / drink of choice

You can’t go wrong with this one!

Leave a comment and let me know if you have any New Year’s traditions!

I know this holiday season has been different and difficult for many. My heart goes out to all of those who are unable to travel and therefore haven’t seen their families in a while.

Cheers to 2021!
