Meet Louise
My name is Louise and welcome to LouiseMontgomery.com! I started blogging (formerly known as SweetPotatoPi) when I was sophomore in high school as a fun and creative outlet for myself. I stopped blogging the beginning of my freshman year of college because I knew there was no way I could make it in the college world with my sweet, little blog. Although I missed blogging in college, I told myself that once I graduate and get my life “together,” I’ll start it again. While my life is far from “together,” the COVID-19 pandemic, my (no longer, but at the time) state of unemployment, and my need for a creative outlet, I was inspired to restart the blog.
LouiseMontgomery.com is a place where you can find everything from home goods, to recipes, to fashion finds. I hope that this blog serves as your source for classic, feminine, and money-saving inspiration as well as a bright spot in your day. It wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for my super amazing and tech savvy husband, Grant. He encouraged me to start blogging again and has created the new & very much improved website for my blog.
Some other fun facts about me include:
- I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi (my family still lives there so we visit often!)
- I was homeschooled all through high school
- I graduated from Ole Miss in 2020 with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Hospitality Management
- I got married July 31st, 2020
- My favorite food is sushi
- I’ve never eaten a PB&J in my entire life (the smell of PB kills me)
- My husband and I lived in Boston for 6 months (long story, but here’s a post about it)
- My favorite color is pink
- I’ve wanted to live in Dallas, Texas my entire life — dreams do come true!
