Hi y’all! Today I am sharing another self tanner review and answering the question: is the Luna Bronze self tanner worth it?
I first heard about this tanner from Brighton Butler. She was raving about it & how it doesn’t smell (!!!) so I had to give it a try.
By the end of my last self tanner, by Golden Star Beauty, I was SO sick of the smell I really couldn’t stand it.
These days, I am pretty reliant on self tanner and consistently use it once a week, every week.
Luna Bronze makes various different tanning products, but the Luna Bronze Express Tanning Mousse is the product I have been trying out for about a month now.
It is a mousse that you apply to clean, dry, skin. For application, I use latex gloves as this avoids the product getting absorbed in to a mitt and avoids the tanner getting on your hands.
PROS:
I really enjoy that this is an express product, meaning, I can leave it on for 1-3 hours and then I can shower it off.
It leaves no sticky residue like other self tanners I’ve tried. I feel dry and clean after applying.
As far as smell, it is the mildest I have experienced so far! Not entirely scentless, but pretty close to it.
Another thing I love about this tanner is that is lasts way longer than the Golden Star Beauty one I was using previously. I apply Luna Bronze once and it lasts me about 5 days.
CONS:
I’m not sure if this is a con or not but something to note is that a little goes a long way. The foam comes out so fast and it’s SO much. I learned my lesson the first time using it!
Another thing to note is, ideally, you would use a different self tanner specifically for your face. putting this on your face works fine, just not the best.
When applying, it does look very dirty and splotchy. However, after showering, it proved to be very even! Something to keep in mind as I was terrified after I applied it the first time 🙂
Have you tried this self tanner before? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
