Hi Y’all!
I know we are all itching to ~bust out~ and travel after a year of quarantine. Even if you have been able to travel, the restrictions have been limited (hopefully not for much longer!) and made traveling very difficult.
I remember reading a post similar to this that Kate from lonestarsouthern.com did a while ago and one of the places she mentioned, ended up being our honeymoon destination! (Honeymoon recap & review post here!) I truly wouldn’t have known about it if it hadn’t been for her :’)
Here are some places that have been on my mind that we would love to visit in the future!
1. The Inns of Aurora
Located in Aurora, New York, the Inns of Aurora looks like a dreamy getaway spot!
“Founded in 1789, the storybook Village of Aurora is situated on the calm shores of Cayuga Lake in the heart of New York’s premier wine region. Designated as a National Historic District and under one square mile, Aurora is a peaceful respite from our busy world.
The five Inns of Aurora—along with a farm-to-table restaurant, casual pub, village market, wellness & activities center, and demonstration kitchen—are tucked into this charming setting, all within easy walking distance on Aurora’s elm-lined Main Street.”
This is pretty much everything you could dream of, right?! I’m obsessed.
2. Hotel Bennett
Located in Charleston, SC, Hotel Bennett is at the top of my list!
I stumbled upon this hotel when I was looking at alternate honeymoon destinations and I fell in love with it.
The hotel is so exquisitely furnished I can’t even handle it!
Not to mention…
Their champagne bar — Camellias!
Charleston is such a charming place with an amazing food scene. It’s one of those places I could walk around all day and not get tired of admiring the city.
Can’t wait to visit again sometime in the future!
3. Tulum, Mexico
Tulum keeps popping up everywhere for me so I’m taking it as a sign! According to Tik Tok, there are lots of nice & inexpensive places to stay in Tulum through Airbnb and VRBO.
This one in particular looks fantastic!
This little boutique hotel looks nice & chill too — La Zebra Tulum
4. Round Hill Hotel & Villas
When my friends and I were looking for a place to go on our senior year of college spring break, I stumbled upon Round Hill Hotel & Villas in Montego Bay, Jamaica and made a mental note to go someday!
Y’all. This place is the real deal. Their villas are absolutely STUNNING.
Not to mention their amenities are top. notch. Some of the amenities include: a private pool, made-to-order breakfast prepared in the villa each morning, and Elemis bath products — just to name a few!
Each villa is unique and tastefully decorated:
5. Switzerland
If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ve probably been seeing a lot of pictures of Switzerland…
I think Switzerland is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to go someday!
After doing some research, I have 2 of the very BEST (very she she and no super realistic :/) (she she= fancy/boujee) places to stay:
Baur Au Lac in Zurich, Switzerland
The Aplina Gstaad in Gstaad, Switzerland
So stunning!!
6. Maldives
Grant and I are both DYING to go to The Maldives!
Check out this breathtaking and very she she spot: Cheval Blanc
& the amazing Ritz Carlton Resort in The Maldives
7. Montage Palmetto Bluff
Located in Bluffton, South Carolina, Montage Palmetto Bluff is the ultimate southern getaway.
They have so many activities to choose from such as a trip to the spa, golfing, kayaking, and so much more as they put on various events depending on the season.
It looks so serene and perfect place for a getaway with a loved one or with the whole family!
8. Utah
I have never been snow skiing before and it’s something I’ve got to do soon!
My parent’s favorite getaway spot is Stein Eriksen Lodge in Park City, Utah.
For one of my classes in college we had to do a full report and presentation on a hotel or resort of our choosing and my group chose Stein Eriksen Lodge.
So I know everything about it and have GOT to go experience it because it is fabulous.
Absolutely dying to visit some of these places ASAP! What places are on your list?
Thanks for reading!
