New Year’s Resolutions | 2022

Hi y’all! Last year, I shared my New Year’s resolutions and I can honestly say that I stuck to almost all of them throughout the entire year!

I think sharing them on here keeps me more accountable than just writing them down or telling a friend.

My Resolutions for 2022

1. Continuing to Maintain My Healthy Habits

Last year, I read the book Atomic Habits and it really changed my perspective on setting and sticking to new habits I wanted to implement. I can honestly say I am very happy with where I am physically and mentally.

I workout 5 days a week and fuel my body with a balance of veggies, carbs, and protein to the best of my ability.

I’m planning on writing a post about all the little things I do to help myself stay on track with healthy eating and well-being habits!

But, ultimately, I’d just like to continue this! The only thing I’m really looking to add to my routine is yoga because, I think it could be a game changer for my joints & back.

2. Consistent Quiet Time

One goal I had for myself last year was reading through the entire Bible. I had a whole plan that I was following really well and then mid-year, I fell off of that plan. So, it’s still one of my goals but I think overall, I would just like to get back to my regular devotions and prayer journaling.

As we are currently church shopping, a big thing on my list is to find a great Sunday school or Bible study! If you live in Dallas and are a part of one, please LMK!

3. Practice Better Communication

I am the type of person that will not text/call/FaceTime, etc. I prefer face-to-face communication because I feel like my messages never come across as intended.

I have always been terrible at communicating through texting — so much so that when Grant and I first met, he thought I didn’t like him because I would either take forever to respond or not respond at all unless it was a direct question. I know, I’m the worst!

I am making it a resolution to call and catch up with friends & family on a more regular basis because life is short and I want everyone I love to know I love them!

4. Less Screen Time

Don’t we all wish we had a little less screen time?

This is a big one for me — especially because I do a lot of my blog work through my phone.

But, I really would love to get it down to 2 hours a day — which honestly still sounds like a lot :/

Baby steps!

What are some of your resolutions or goals?

Thanks for reading! Cheers to 2022!
