Hi y’all! Today I’m sharing a little recap of our week-long trip to Tennessee!
Grant and I booked this trip back in August for his birthday in hopes of experiencing a true fall that Texas doesn’t quite offer!
Neither of us have spent much time in Tennessee at all previous to this trip, but we have some friends and family spread out all over Tennessee so we were excited to see what it was all about.
I want to start by saying that Grant nor I are “hard-core” vacationers. I could sit outside all day and be happy just doing that. We didn’t do much research for this trip and just kind of winged it throughout the week. I had some work things to do while we were there and I just didn’t want to feel rushed or like we had to see everything.
So, with that being said, here is a quick little recap of our trip!
Where We Stayed
Grant found this amazing Airbnb in-between Leipers Fork and Columbia, TN which is about 20 mins from Franklin and 45 mins from Nashville. This spot could not have been more perfect for us! We brought Remi with us and this place was so pet-friendly and had so much space which was such a luxury!
My favorite part of our trip was probably just being able to wake up and have a slow morning sitting on the porch and watch Remi run around and explore the yard.
Here is a link to the Airbnb listing if anyone is interested! We 100% paid for this whole trip ourselves and 100% opinions are my own and we LOVED this spot! If you are looking for a private, more off-grid spot, it is perfect. If you are looking to be closer to civilization, I wouldn’t recommend it.
What We Did
The first morning we woke up, got dressed, and drove in to town to grab breakfast at The Coffee House.
Then, we hopped over to Gentry’s Farm to pick up some pumpkins to carve!
After this, we stopped by the grocery store and picked up some grocery items to have at the Airbnb! We only ate out a handful of times and The Coffee House was the only non-chain spot we went to hahah! We don’t have a grill at our apartment so we were excited to grill burgers and things and just enjoy having a yard.
This night, I set up a charcuterie spread to celebrate Grant’s 26th birthday 🙂
The next day, we stopped by Morning Glory Orchard and got apple cider slushies and picked up some apples and apple cider to take home. They are not a pick-your-own apple orchard so just something to keep in mind if you plan to go!
One night, we went to Arrington Vineyards and this was another favorite thing we did! We love chill activities and this was a great one. We went at sunset and both got a wine flight and snack and sat and watched the sunset and just chit chatted 🙂
In the afternoons, we’d pick up a coffee and just drive around and explore! We checked out downtown Franklin, Leipers Fork, Brentwood, and all around! The fall foliage and rolling hills were so pretty.
The last night we were in Tennessee, some friends came over and we cooked burgers and had s’mores around the fire. It was a great way to cap off a great trip!
Leave your Franklin or Tennessee recs in the comments! We can’t wait to go back 🙂
