The Ultimate Veja Sneaker Review

the ultimate Vera sneaker review

Hi y’all!

I have had my VEJA sneakers for a little over a month now and I have a lot of thoughts… and I want to share them in hopes you might find them helpful if you’re thinking about purchasing!

First of all, can I just say that in 2018/2019 when my best friend and college roommate came back from studying abroad, she brought the Veja trend with her. She started it. Just saying.

I was in the market for a new pair of sneakers (I LOVE my Adidas gazelles but I needed some variation for my sneaker game because I was wearing those babies every. single. day) and Vejas had been on my radar for a while…

I like the look and silhouette of Vejas and love that they are clean and not super flashy.

At first, I was so overwhelmed by all of the styles because they were all different yet all the same?!

So many styles

Basically, their classic styles are either the V-10 or V-12. They also make a Campo style which is also a classic but it’s a little bit flatter and gives off a Converse vibe (more rounded toe).

Sizing

I am a solid size 8. Always have been. However, I will occasionally size down to a 7.5, but I will never size up larger than an 8.

At first, I ordered an 7 (38) and when I received it, it was huge. My heel was popping out when I walked and it was just not going to work.

So, I returned them and sized down to a 6 (37).

When I got those in, I put them on and thought they were going to be too small! But I was determined to make them work.

My first day of wearing them, my feet were KILLING me. They were so tight and restrictive.

Now, after wearing them fairly consistently for a little over a month, they are much looser and stretched out and fit MUCH better.

Comfort Level

Compared to my go-to Adidas gazelles, I would rate my Vejas a 7.5/10 on comfort level.

Not terrible, but not amazing.

However, keep in mind that my feet have high arches and I find Chacos sandals very comfortable (people with flatter feet typically do not find Chacos comfortable).

Happy to answer any other questions y’all might have!

Thanks for reading!
