Hi y’all!
Those who having been following along for a while, know that we have been planning on moving to Boston since… forever!! (it feels like!!)
Grant and I both graduated from Ole Miss and stayed in Oxford, MS after we got married for Grant to finish grad school and take the CPA.
We had tentatively been planning on moving in the middle of July 2021 because Grant was going to start work in August.
However, he was recently offered to start working in June! So, our moving plans just escalated — a lot!
We are so thrilled to be moving much sooner than we thought!
Our tentative moving date is going to be around June 10th but this will all depend on when we can start renting an apartment…
By the time I publish this post, we will be on our way to Boston to pick out an apartment!
When I went to visit Grant in Boston last year during his internship, we looked at a couple of places to get an idea, but it’s been so long since then and there are many more options now!
We have a general idea of where we want to live and what we are looking for, but we have an open mind and know that there could be something out there that we haven’t seen online yet!
We are still figuring out the logistics of actually moving but we are thinking it will consist of us loading up a large Uhaul and driving up to Boston, stopping halfway at Grant’s parent’s house on the way.
Pretty much the only things we are taking with us is our bed and bedside tables and then we will figure out furniture once we find out how much space we are working with!
My brothers will be taking the majority of our furniture in our Oxford apartment to use in their houses / apartments next year.

Why Boston?
Grant chose Boston for his accounting internship location before we started dating. Thankfully, I fell in love with it (& him!) when I got to visit him twice during that time!
How long are you going to live there?
Honestly, it will all be God’s timing. For right now, we are thinking probably 3-5 years.
Are you ever going to move back to the south?
Yes! We love the south and would love to raise our family somewhere in the south. I love Dallas, TX and Greenville, SC 🙂 But that will all be God’s timing too and will also depend on where both of our parents are living at the time.
Are you going to get a job when you move to Boston?
Yes! Once we figure out where our exact location will be, I will hopefully find something close by.
